Very cool

Thanks!

This is really cool! Would love a technical breakdown on how you put this together.

Agreed. As a developer, I'd love to see how this was done or if you have it out on Github.

+1 even if its vibe coded, would love to hear how you tackled the project. Great stuff!

Sick of the trend of having swear words in the title. From blog posts to books, it's getting quite old and is not very creative.

This reminds me way back when you would see "Website written in Notepad" on websites.

Cool idea, curious to know what language/framework you are using for the games.

Would also be interesting to see the prompts used to create them.

React/vite frontend, .NET API backend. A few of the games are canvas-based, but most of them are just API calls (the turn-based games). This one is live-action so it's using websockets (SignalR)

If you flip through the games, sometimes I share the prompts used (text at the bottom of each page is like a blog entry), especially when I'm able to make a solid game with a single prompt. A few of the games have taken multiple prompts though.

> Ham radio is hundreds of sub-hobbies in a trench coat

Really good way of putting it! POTA can be a lot of fun.

HAM radio is whole range of things that were not possible when I was getting into it - first of all it's super cheap to start now, and you can probably bounce RF signals off the moon for less than $100 nowadays. Shortwave radio has always allowed signals to go around the world (by bouncing off the stratosphere). Most likely the new digital + AI capabilities means that a few well positioned relays could make for a very independent, low bandwidth Internet. Solar powered BTS or APs all kinds of experiments are possible...

This would be amazing to be able to use on a TV with a remote!

Just finished up the first two Game of Thrones book. Before continuing wanted to check out a couple of other books.

Read Shadow Divers which was really good. Saw it suggested a lot and it did not disappoint.

Now reading The Pearl by Steinbeck and Red Dwarf: Infinity Welcomes Careful Drivers by Grant Naylor.

The game of thrones books are great. I know this is cliche to say, but the books are better than the show.

The third book is so amazing. I read the books after seeing the show, and maybe that helped me form a mental model of the world and the characters.

Such a shame GRRM likely won't complete it.

Ham radio is a huge rabbit hole. It's a hobby full of other hobbies within. One of the most fun parts for me is Summits on the Air (SOTA).

You take a small portable HF transceiver up a mountain summit and attempt to make at least 4 contacts. You get points for "activating" the summit and folks at home get points for "hunting" you. You can also spot yourself online and sometimes you'll have a bunch of people from around the world trying to make contact with you.

That's amazing. I've been looking at getting my first fish tank lately with my kids. Seems like a lot to learn. Any tips for a newbie?

If your first fish tank is just going to be something small with a goldfish or two in it, I'm not sure how you go about doing that as I've not done that before. Maybe you just fill the tank from the tap and chuck the fish in? I decided to go for a large planted heated freshwater tank with interesting fish and shrimps and snails, so I had to be careful to monitor the water and find out what species could co-exist, what pH and temp they like, etc. It took 6 weeks before I could put anything in it safely, so one tip would be to patient. Another would be, go and speak to the people in the pet shop / aquatics center about what you're doing as they can tell you everything you need to know. I got most of my advice from ChatGPT, but double checked it with the kind people at the aquatics center as I was setting things up.

Thanks for the advice!
