Traditional search is “free” too, but you see ads. If something looks free, then you are the product.

OpenAI has started doing ads, but for Anthropic the free tier is still just a loss leader. It's basically an ad for their pay tiers.

Hi! I'm an Android Developer with 9 years of experience. I thrive in 0 -> 1 environments, startups and small teams.

I've built and shipped many apps, going through multiple generations of the Android tech stacks - from Java and XML to Kotlin and Compose. Check out my CV!

Nice workflow! I'll give it a try. I'm struggling with building mental model of AI-generated code. And code review fatigue is real. This may be the way.

Cursor in agent mode is the same thing as claude code and codex. And now Grok 4.5 included into subscription. It gives you more value, since grok is cheaper and faster version of the Opus.

I also want to believe that Cursor team working on harnesses for much longer then openAI and Anthropic can deliver better results overall. Claude code is being pretty much vibe-coded slop doesn’t give a feel of a good product.

You can just disable history in YT. It disables all the recommendations. Home and Shorts tabs are fully empty, so only Subscriptions tab is available.

Yeah, I tried that too. But when I watch a video of the channel I like, there will be unending side cards of videos suggesting what to watch next. There are so many ways YouTube tries to keep you on their platform.

And one more benefit that NoSuggest will not have as much ads as YouTube. Although I am using YouTube official player, meaning they could serve ads but definitely would be far less than what you see in YouTube app.

Why don’t use Happy Code? It’s open source and free to use: https://github.com/slopus/happy

We've seen a decent amount of comparisons to Happy, but anecdotally from some Omnara users who have used both, I've heard that reliability and latency when sending messaages is much better in Omnara

We try to provide more features on top as well, including (but not limited to):

* improved web interface

* worktrees

* sandboxing

* richer git management (richer diffs, checkpoints, git operations)

* preview URLs

Stability was our (Happy) temporary problem, since our DB grown to reach like a TB now, but since we upgraded it is much much better.

Haha yeah, we love happy, seems like you guys are popular in this thread :)

Good question. Since this is open source why bother with Omnara in the first place? Or perhaps this is a fork of Happy Code and now it is a YC startup.

Just shows that AI has advanced so quickly that it is easy to clone YC startups to zero.

We're not a fork, and from what I've heard from users our architecture is more reliable

A good reason for not using Happy Code is that they collect your usage data in the iOS app. Not sure what Omnara does, but vibe coded clones don't sell out your data to some random startup wrapping Anthropic tools.

Consider applying for YC's Winter 2027 batch! Applications are open till November 2.
