An interesting write-up and perspective, yet in my experience, has no practical or pragmatic designs by which to replace seniority-based, heirarchical and heavily engrained systems. Re-naming titles is a start, but it's still wishy-washy. I mean, sure, start from scratch and implement, but can it work in software or running a bakery or for a pool cleaning business? Context is important, and while I enjoy reading 'open mind' type educational riffing (of which this is clearly an example), it's hard to capture any genuine take-away approaches for, well, generalization.
