You should really reword that, because now it sounds as an incredibly insensitive thing to say. She was a child when it happened. Bad things hurt so much more when you're a child.
I'm confused. The article is talking about her ex-husband. Did she marry as a child? Or did some things happen to her as a child and later her husband of all people got his hands on some recordings? Or are you talking about some other person than the woman in the article?
