Cool. I have read a lot of approaches to home network monitoring and everybody seems to do things a little bit different.
Telegraf has built-in modules for ping and dns latency. I recommend it as an alternative to prometheus.
Telegraf is just going to do the "probe" component, right? You're still going to need Prometheus or Influxdb for storing the timeseries, and Grafana for visualizing I expect.
