I'm re-posting a comment from gGhoul that appears to be dead for some reason: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=30165273

You can click on the post time next to their name and 'vouch' for them, which will un-dead their comment. I've done so for that one.

Looking at their comment and submission history, everything is marked [dead]. Their only thread participation has been in these hiring posts, and an 'Ask HN' where they were lamenting being a software developer in Kenya. How does HN track this stuff? Maybe they've made some comments so heinous that they've been removed from the comment history altogether?

The account got caught in a spam filter. I've fixed that now.

Thanks dang!

It looks like I don't have that option. Here's another dead one that shouldn't be: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=30168888

For me, the top line reads

> Motheki 47 minutes ago [dead] | prev | next [–]

Perhaps you can vouch for that one?

That's weird. Looks like someone else did it though.
